Dancehall Doctor Dean Brown
Turning “Heads”
Dean Brown of Tim McGraw’s band, the Dancehall Doctors, wasn’t
sure what to think when asked to offer his head up to the highest
bidder.
However, he didn’t hesitate when the Tug McGraw Foundation
called on his creative talents in support of the Ladies of Legacy
Foundation in Dallas, Texas. Dean is one of the many celebrated
artists to be given a plain white Styrofoam head to decorate, and
their creations are to be put on exhibition and auctioned off to
generate funds for brain and spinal cord patients.
“I can't imagine the pain and distress a family goes through
when finding out one of their loved ones is severely ill. I pray
I never have to experience it,” said Brown. “But it's
comforting to know that there are organizations such as the Ladies
of Legacy and the Tug McGraw Foundation that care and will do all
they can to help, and I’m thrilled to be asked to participate.”
As a longtime member of Tim McGraw’s band, Brown added one
element that promises to set his contribution apart from the rest.
At the back of the neck of his decorated head is a gold plate –
personally autographed by country superstar couple Tim McGraw and
Faith Hill.
“I knew it had to be special,” said Brown.
Stay tuned for more information on the Ladies of Legacy event and
instructions on how to bid on this one-of-a-kind creation.
